Joe & Kelly Quinn | Owners
Joe was born and raised on the northeast side of Indianapolis. He is a graduate of Cathedral High School and studied at Holy Cross College where he earned his degree in Business Adminstration. After college, Joe played drums in a local band in Indianapolis, playing shows in various cities around the midwest. He began working at a popular bar & resturant in Broad Ripple. Looking for a change from the night life scene, he became the Beer Department Manager for a local fine wine and beer store where he eventually took a promotion as a Store Manager for another local beverage store chain. "Growing up where home-cooked meals were commonplace and eating out was a priviledge, my mom taught me the way around the kitchen. She always said 'waste not, want not' and I have learned to cook by that code, using everything and wasting nothing". As Joe worked in management by day, by night he would test recipes to pair with the wine he sold, simply cooking and learning from his favorite chefs, like Anthony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsey, Julia Child and various local chefs, hoping one day to turn this passion into a place of his own.
Kelly was born in Indianapolis and raised in Carmel. She is a graduate of Carmel High School. After graduation she became a manager for Marriott Hotels and eventually became a Corporate Flight Attendant. I always say “If dessert were a food group, I’d be the healthiest person alive! For me, baking began when I was very young. Spending time watching the Food Network in high school and then trying out my recipes for people I worked with as I got older. There is such joy in watching people enjoy the treats I make. It is truly a blessing! Through all my travels around the world as a Corporate Flight Attendant on private aircraft, I have tasted some of the most amazing treats and delectable pastries. I am so proud to bring those goodies to you!"

Union Baking Company began in September of 2013. Our bakery offers a unique variety of customs cakes & cookies, french macarons, specialty pastries and specialty items for weddings, special events and corporate gatherings. We even offer custom cake options from wedding cakes to classic birthday cakes.
Our true specialty at Union Baking Co is our French Macarons. These delicate little cookies, hailing from Paris, France are moist in the middle with a slight crunch on the outside. Flavors from Vanilla Bean to Framboise made from scratch, by hand everyday. Delectable little treats from Paris right in the heart of Carmel!
